Goal:
The international
exchange of goodwill and the revitalization of countryside
Theme: "How do people of
different cultures feel about each other?”
Only
a few decades ago, there were very few chances to meet with foreigners in the
Japanese countryside. Nowadays, however, foreigners have begun to spend long
periods of time in Aga Town and the surrounding areas, working as English
teachers or artists. While it is truly an age of international exchange, it is
still difficult to get together with foreigners and talk.
Building
upon Mr. Kentaro Sato’s month-long visit to Greece, the Cosmo Dream Stage
Executive Committee has planned to use its building to create a setting for
many different people to get together in the countryside.
For
foreigners it will be a meaningful opportunity to talk with Japanese and learn
about Japanese culture, and for Japanese it will be a meaningful chance to
interact with foreigners, something they do not have a chance to do in the
countryside.
This
will be the first time and the participants may be small in number, but we look
forward to talking with all of the guests at the dinner.
Details: The event will be a potluck dinner – bring one dish and be ready to talk!
Talk with other people about how you feel about their country and how they
feel about yours.
Target Participants: Foreigners and citizens living in and
around Nishiaziu Town and Aga Town.
